Ingredients for 4 servings

  • 400 g spaghetti or penne

  • 600 g ripe tomatoes (or quality peeled tomatoes)

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • A bunch of fresh basil

  • Salt and black pepper

  • 6 tablespoons Olio Grullo Blend

Preparation
Score the tomatoes and blanch them for one minute, then peel and chop them. In a large pan, gently brown the garlic cloves in Olio Grullo Blend, then add the tomatoes and a pinch of salt. Simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes, until the sauce becomes rich and aromatic.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water and drain it al dente. Transfer it directly into the pan with the sauce, add the torn basil leaves, and toss for one minute.

Serve immediately, finishing with a drizzle of Olio Grullo Blend. Its harmonious balance of almond and nutty notes perfectly complements the sweetness of the tomato and the freshness of the basil, giving the dish a rounded, typically Tuscan character.
