THE NEW ORGANIC OIL MILL BETWEEN TRADITION AND TECHNOLOGY
The new oil mill of our farm La Gramigna is designed in harmony with the landscape, inspired by rural buildings and dry stone walls, with a minimalist and contemporary aesthetic. The panoramic position on the valley has guided an organic and minimally invasive design: the monolithic appearance reflects the functional needs of the building, which is not only receptive, but above all productive.
The project includes two buildings with a shared loggia: one for reception, with kitchen and laboratory, and the other for the production of olive oil with a cutting-edge system. The building, designed to be efficient and eco-sustainable, integrates a photovoltaic system, thick walls and ventilated facades to reduce consumption. Home automation LED lighting with sensors optimizes energy and comfort. Outside, a draining square hosts trees and native vegetation irrigated with rainwater collected in tanks. The materials chosen, at km 0, underline attention to the territory: such as stone for cladding, Tuscan wood for fixtures, and washable and resistant resin.
